John Quincy Adams was indeed a man of letters. Serving as his father's secretary, he became an accomplished linguist and writer. Under President Monroe, Adams was a key player in the formulation of the Monroe Doctrine. As President, he urged the United States to take a lead in the development of the arts and sciences through the establishment of a national university, the financing of scientific expeditions, and the erection of an observatory.
What we do know is that the evolution of life has not gone through any series of species related in any way by the number seven, and, that of course, it never will. Every concept of Theosophy's idea of Root and Sub races is wrong, but, it still represents yet another attempt to explain reality in terms of stories that encompass the number seven. All such stories turn out to be terrible descriptions of truth, because simply, the number may be loved by many humans but it is not a particularly important number in the physics of the Universe.
In the Harry Potter series of novels by J.K. Rowling, seven is said to be the most powerfully magical number. There are a number of references to seven in Harry Potter: there are a total of seven books in the series; Ginny Weasley is the seventh child and only daughter of the Weasley family; Harry Potter was born in July, the seventh month of the year; Wizarding students must complete seven years of school at Hogwarts; There are seven secret passages leading out of Hogwarts; Seven is also the number on the back of Harry Potter's Quidditch robes (Prisoner of Azkaban movie). Professor Moody was also hidden in a chest with an underground cubby, which was locked with seven locks Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In Quidditch each team consists of seven players. Chapter four of Book 7 is titled "The Seven Potters". Lord Voldemort planned on making six Horcruxes (objects containing parts of his soul), so that his soul would exist in seven parts, but made an extra one, making a total of seven Horcruxes.

Free-thinking, adventurous, and progressive, 5 is defined by freedom. 5 needs to experience the world by engaging its five senses: For 5, life lessons are acquired through spontaneous acts of bravery. Akin to Sagittarius energy within astrology, 5 is known for its playful, impuslive, and vivacious spirit. But on the other side of its signature joie de vivre, 5 can become restless and impatient. Since 5 is always seeking discovery, it has a difficult time accepting life’s day-to-day responsibilities — including professional and interpersonal commitments. 5 must remember that when it narrows its gaze, it will discover that the most rewarding exploration exists in its own backyard.
where Xn is the position of the next letter and Xc is the position of the current letter. Thus, if A starts in position 1, B should be in position 1+19 = 20. Then, C should be in position 20+19 = 39, which modulo 26 becomes 13, and so on. Since 19 is a prime number, the 26 slots are filled without overlaps. This is similar to a perfect hash function that maps distinct elements to integers with no collisions.
Threes are natural born salesmen, with a natural gift for gab and overflow of charisma. If you’re a three, you’re the star of the party and liven up any room without even trying. You have a natural gift for creativity and you are well aware of your talent. However, Threes are also a bit like spoiled teenagers. They are disorganized, in need of constant guidance, and blissfully unaware or ungrateful for the efforts others go through to protect them.
There have been a few examples of numerology that have led to theories that transformed society: see the mention of Kirchhoff and Balmer in Good (1962, p. 316) ... and one can well include Kepler on account of his third law. It would be fair enough to say that numerology was the origin of the theories of electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, gravitation.... So I intend no disparagement when I describe a formula as numerological.

This Life Path is perhaps the one that is the most concerned with and desirous of status as an ultimate measure of success. You want to be recognized for your hard work and achievements. The attainment of honors and acceptance into the club of executive leadership is all important. For this, you may find yourself very well suited to compete in the business world or in the political arena.
This is where your dark side shows. While Sixes are the most stable of all the numbers, when plunged into discord they become the most volatile and destructive. Your loving openness makes you easy to take advantage of and your sacrificing nature will allow this to happen – however, you have your limits. Beware a wronged or angry Six, they are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Your practiced warmth makes it easy to keep a friendly smile as you destroy your enemy.

Numerology is a popular plot device in fiction. Sometimes it is a casual element used for comic effect, such as in an episode titled "The Séance" of the 1950s TV sitcom I Love Lucy, where Lucy dabbles in numerology. Sometimes it is a central motif of the storyline, such as the movie π, in which the protagonist meets a numerologist searching for hidden numerical patterns in the Torah; the TV show Touch which focuses almost entirely on the role of numerology in the events and coincidences of any person's life; and the movie The Number 23, based on claimed mysteries of the number 23 (itself based on the Law of Fives).
Ones feel entitled to respect and can become demanding and domineering when it’s not given. When this happens, Ones turn into warriors and will attempt to force their values and opinions and will not listen to anyone else. You are a pragmatist and can often have a hard time relating to other’s emotions. You see through charm easily and you will not stand for hypocrisy. However, if Ones can harness their natural instinct to protect into compassion and understanding, they will earn unlimited loyalty from followers.
Your birthday on the 18th day of the month suggests than you are one who can work well with a group, but still remain someone who needs to maintain individual identity. There is a humanistic or philanthropic approach to business circumstances in which you find yourself. You may have good executive abilities, as you are very much the organizer and administrator. You are broad-minded, tolerant and generous; a compassionate person that can inspire others with imaginative ideas. Some of your feelings may be expressed, but even more of them are apt to be repressed. There is a lot of drama in your personality and in the way you express yourself to others. Oddly enough, you don't expect as much in return as you give.
In modern times, the study of the relationships between words and numbers has increased, specially for the purpose of encrypting data. Some simple systems like the calculator spelling illustrated in Figure 2 are only for entertainment, but modern cryptography combines the use of pseudorandom number generators with modular arithmetic to map any text into apparent gibberish. The equation Xn = (Xc+19) modulo 26, discussed above, is an example of a simple pseudorandom number generator. The only way to decode messages with this type of encryption is to know the sequence of numbers generated by the pseudorandom number generator.

“The Greek Pythagoreans believed that the number seven pointed symbolically to the union of the Deity with the universe. This association was picked up by the Christian church, especially during the Middle Ages. Seven was regarded as having sacred power, as in the seven cardinal virtues, seven deadly sins, seven sacraments, [...], etc. Thus it was held that there must logically be exactly seven planets.”
The entire Bible is based upon the things that God Almighty has said to His servants, the prophets. They wrote these things down exactly as they had received them. That is why the Bible is such a perfect book. It comes from a perfect God. A common phrase that is found in the Old Testament, "Thus saith the Lord of Hosts", is a phrase that reveals to us that God has indeed given us the very words that have come directly from His mouth. This phrase is found exactly 70 (7 x 10) times in the King James Bible.
Your Period cycles are three long-term cycles that each cover about a third of your life. The First Period cycle is based on the reduced number of your month of birth, the Second Period comes from your reduced day of birth and the Third Period comes from your reduced year of birth. Therefore, your all-encompassing Life Path number is not a matter of simply adding up the numbers that appear in your birth date, but is actually derived from the numbers that make up your three Period cycles.
However, for Threes, your greatest asset is also your greatest weakness. Because your charisma and natural talent come easily, you find it difficult to understand and relate to the struggles others. While you are always well liked and have a large group of friends, you may find it hard to form deeper relationships, especially with a romantic partner. Your need for expression and your natural creativity cause you to often lack focus and procrastinate. You find yourself involved in multiple projects at a time, abandoning the old for the new with no regard for others involved. By placing their attention on the sunny exterior and failing to form spiritual depth, Threes easily succumb to difficulties or challenges.
The number 4 is solidly associated with the element of earth from which it gains its strength and utter sense of reality. You are one of the most dependable people you know. If patience and determination can ever win, you are sure to achieve great success in life. Often, you are called on to take care of others; to finish what they have started. It may not seem fair and probably isn't, but it may be the key to your accomplishment and reputation.
In the Old Testament the world was created in six days and God rested on the seventh, creating the basis of the seven-day-week we use to this day. In the New Testament the number seven symbolizes the unity of the four corners of the Earth with the Holy Trinity. The number seven is also featured in the Book of Revelation (seven churches, seven angels, seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven stars). The Koran speaks of seven heavens and Muslim pilgrims walk around the Kaaba in Mecca (Islam’s most sacred site) seven times. In Hinduism there are seven higher worlds and seven underworlds, and in Buddhism the newborn Buddha rises and takes seven steps.
In The Tales of Alvin Maker, an alternate history fantasy series by Orson Scott Card, seventh sons are imbued with special powers, referred to as "knacks", over the physical world. The powers of a seventh son of a seventh son, the birthright of the series' main character, Alvin Smith, are especially pronounced. Men who wield these powers to create are referred to as "Makers".
